An experienced program development manager with more than fifteen years of expertise in successfully designing, implementing, and managing programs that maximize safety and productivity while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Recruited to design and implement the first technical training program for the US Space Shuttle Program (United Space Alliance) following the Challenger explosion. Also produced online training and desktop simulations for the astronauts.
Developed training and regulatory compliance programs for InterGen (Shell/Bechtel joint energy venture) and created the in-house capability for delivering online training and video production for El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline (largest pipeline company in America).

Stawitz graduated from Washburn University with dual degrees in mathematics and computer science backed by a minor in foreign languages and served as an assistant professor of mathematics for the institution.

● Piloted the USS Topeka (LA Class fast attack submarine) in the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Canaveral, Florida.
● Attended a briefing at The White House with my wife hosted by the GW Bush Administration.
● Featured on CNN Headline News and a PBS special.
● Quoted in a Special Congressional Quarterly Report.
● Originated the “Reach for the Stars” aerospace education program impacting nearly 1 million K-12 students throughout the US.
● Served as president of multistate alternative education association.
● Joined acclaimed pyschiatrist Karl Menninger for walks around his neighborhood and intriguing one-on-one discussions.
● Escorted vaudevillian turned iconic commedian Jack Benny from hotel to performance.
● Piloted Cessna 150 plane and Robinson R22 helicopter.
● Lunched with general inmate population at Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary.
● Designed and helped build the winning float (in a field of 108 competitors) for the South Dakota Centennial parade in Sioux Falls.
● Navigated inland passage from Vancouver to Petersburg, Alaska on a 34-foot fishing boat with 2 dogs, 7 pups, and 4 nautical novices.
● Took a friend with spina bifida and his wheel chair on a 3500-mile motorcycle adventure.
● Hitchhiked more than 17,000 miles across America.
